On March 18, the Municipal Council of Rougemont unanimously approved the report regarding the request for funding to participate in the financial support of the project to rebuild a new hospital in the Pays-d'Enhaut region. The municipality of Rougemont is thus committing CHF 430,000 to ensure the success of this essential project for the region. This amount includes the report approved in February 2023 for CHF 120,000 for the renovation of the helicopter landing pad.
This support is part of a broader effort to improve healthcare infrastructure in the Pays-d'Enhaut, a priority area for the municipality of Rougemont, which places the health of its residents at the heart of its concerns.
The neighboring municipality of Rossinière has also supported this crucial project. During the meeting on March 25, the Municipal Council of Rossinière approved the report and allocated CHF 225,000: CHF 80,000 for the financing of the preliminary phases of the Pays-d'Enhaut hospital reconstruction project, including the architectural competition and the preliminary project; and CHF 145,000 for the reconstruction of a hospital in the Pays-d'Enhaut, including the upgrading of the helicopter landing pad.
This gesture reflects the solidarity and intermunicipal collaboration between the municipalities of Pays-d'Enhaut, united in their efforts to provide their residents with modern and suitable healthcare services.
The three municipalities—Rougemont, Rossinière, and Château-d'Œx—thus demonstrate their shared determination to make this project a model of intermunicipal collaboration in service of the health and well-being of their residents.
